Polycarbonate (PC)
4.8 (10 Reviews) 18 orders
Material type: Plastic, Heat resistant, Weather resistant
Polycarbonate (PC) is a thermoplastic with high toughness, excellent impact strength and good machinability. If the plate exceeds a certain thickness (approximately over 15-20mm), it will turn blue transparent due to the optical properties of the material. The thicker the thickness, the darker the blue color.

Material advantages
PC has high strength and elasticity coefficient, high impact strength, wide operating temperature range; high transparency and free dyeability; low molding shrinkage, good dimensional stability; good weather resistance; excellent electrical properties; tasteless and odorless Hazards comply with health and safety.
Material shortcomings
Heavy weight, poor thermal conductivity; poor fatigue strength, prone to stress cracking; poor wear resistance.
Recommended description
Polycarbonate is one of the most widely used thermoplastic materials. It is the preferred choice of many designers and engineers because it provides design freedom, capability to maintain color and strength over time.
