Sheet Metal PEM laser cutting CAD steel

With the continuous improvement of the social production levels, the functional requirements and quality requirements for sheet metal products have increased to a large extent. With the continuous development of science and technology, traditional sheet metal processing technology cannot meet modern processing requirements. Therefore, with the popularization of CNC technology in a large area, the sheet metal processing technology has been improved accordingly, making it gradually become a diversified CNC sheet metal processing. In general, sheet metal processing is mainly to splice, cut, rivet, weld, and bend metal sheets, which can enhance the use of metal sheets. In order to achieve the above functions, it is necessary to combine shearing machines, spot welding machines, CNC bending machines, laser cutting machines, and other equipment during sheet metal processing. During the actual higher processing, it is necessary to use corresponding processing equipment according to different process requirements. When using high-precision CNC equipment, the processing quality of the protective plate can be enhanced to a large extent, and it can produce

Production and processing of many varieties and types of products. While vigorously promoting CNC sheet metal equipment, it can also reduce work intensity, enhance work efficiency, and improve the sheet metal processing cycle.

Selection of sheet metal

Usually, the thickness of the sheet metal is within 6mm, and it is made into parts of various shapes through a variety of cold processing techniques. After cold working the sheet metal, it is possible to change the thickness of the sheet metal part to a more constant thickness. However, as sheet metal is for different purposes, different sheet metal materials need to be selected. Normally, sheet metal materials are mainly divided into the following, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, and other materials. Different types of sheet metal materials require different processing methods and different methods.

Steel plate

(1) Cold-rolled steel plate (cold-rolled steel plate below 3mm). Cold-rolled steel plate is mainly a steel plate that is controlled at room temperature, lower than the recrystallization temperature, and then thinned. In the cold-rolled steel plate. Its surface is relatively smooth and has a uniform thickness, which will not cause large costs and is easy to shape. It can be painted or electroplated, so that the application range of the steel plate can be expanded.

(2) Hot-rolled steel plate (hot-rolled steel plate above 3mm): the processing method of this kind of steel plate is mainly to process the rough-rolled plate or cast slab, after heating it, and then remove phosphorus to form a rough-rolled steel plate. Usually, there is a slight deviation in the thickness of hot-rolled steel sheets, and there may be problems with hemming during actual processing. The hot-rolled steel plate processing technology is mainly used in the production of parts for vehicles, bridges, and ships.

Galvanized sheet

Galvanized sheet is mainly galvanized on the surface of the steel sheet. Normally, it is necessary to control the thickness of the galvanized layer of the steel plate to more than 10 μm, which can prevent corrosion and other damage on the surface of the steel plate, and is mainly used in parts that have greater requirements for anti-corrosion. For copper plates, electric materials are needed during actual processing, and chrome-plating and nickel-plating treatments are required on the surface of copper plates. In addition, spraying can also be performed, but this material has a relatively high cost. For aluminum sheets, generally, the thick waist is treated with chromate on its surface, and chemical and conductive oxidation treatments can also be carried out, which are mainly used to make cabinets.

Stainless steel plate

The general term for stainless acid-resistant steel that is resistant to corrosion by atmospheric, acid, alkali, salt and other media. To achieve the effect of stainless and corrosion resistance, the amount of chromium (Cr) should not be less than 13%. In addition, nickel (Ni) or molybdenum (Mo) can be added to increase the effect. Due to the different types and contents of alloys, there are many types of stainless steel.

The characteristics of stainless steel plate: non-magnetic, good corrosion resistance, good brightness, high strength, certain elasticity, good plasticity, good high temperature oxidation resistance, difficult processing technology, but excellent weldability, and expensive material cost. It is a better material for sheet metal parts.

Common surface treatments for stainless steel plates: wire drawing, passivation, chemical coloring (black, color), electropolishing, electrophoretic paint, direct silk screen printing on the surface, etc.

Aluminum alloy plate

Lighter and soft metal materials are divided into anti-rust aluminum plates, hard aluminum plates, and forged aluminum plates due to differences in composition and materials. The aluminum plates commonly used in sheet metal parts and sheet metal chassis include anti-rust aluminum plates, followed by hard aluminum plates.

The characteristics of aluminum plate: good corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, low strength, high plasticity, good processing technology, good weldability, but low strength and expensive material cost.

Common surface treatment of aluminum plate: wire drawing, sand blasting, oxidation, nickel plating, spraying, silk screen printing, etc.
