As Justway manufactures your custom parts in China and ships internationally to your location, customs duties, import taxes, and related fees are governed by the regulations of your destination country. Here’s a clear breakdown of responsibilities and key details:
The **recipient (you)** is solely responsible for paying any customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees levied by your country’s customs authority. Justway has no control over these charges—they are determined by local laws, the value/type of your order, and your country’s trade policies.
Key Notes:
- In many countries, small-value or certain industrial parts may qualify for duty waivers or exemptions (check with your local customs office for details).
- Justway cannot predict the amount of customs charges (if any) as they vary by country, order value, and product classification. We will never add these charges to your order total—they are collected directly by customs or the courier upon delivery.
As the recipient, you are considered the **importer of record** and must comply with all laws and regulations of your destination country, including:
- Providing required documentation for customs clearance (e.g., commercial invoice, packing list—we will supply these with your shipment).
- Fulfilling any additional customs requirements (e.g., product certifications for regulated parts).
- Accepting potential delivery delays caused by customs clearance procedures (these are outside Justway’s control).
Customs offices in certain countries/regions require the importer of record to provide a unique identification number before releasing shipments. You may need to supply one of the following (depending on your location):
- Unique Identification Number (UIN)
- CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas, Brazil)
- Tax ID (e.g., India, South Korea, Turkey)
Countries/regions requiring identification numbers (excluding high-risk nations):
Brazil (CNPJ for companies / CPF for individuals; must be on invoice & waybill), Mexico (RFC for companies/residents / CURP for individuals; mandatory for all shipments since Jan 1, 2025), all EU member states (EORI number for commercial clearance), UK (EORI number / VAT ID for post-Brexit clearance), India (GSTIN tax ID), South Korea (Business Registration Number / personal resident ID), Chile (RUT tax ID), Peru (RUC tax ID), Colombia (NIT tax ID), Argentina (CUIT tax ID), Saudi Arabia (Commercial Registration + VAT ID), Indonesia (NPWP tax ID / NIK resident ID), Turkey (Tax ID Number), Israel (Tax ID / import license for industrial parts), South Africa (Tax Reference Number), Canada (BN Business Number / GST/HST), United States (EIN for companies / SSN/ITIN for individuals), Australia (ABN for companies / TFN for individuals).
1. **Check local regulations**: Contact your country’s customs office or use official government portals to confirm duty rates, exemption rules, and required documentation for industrial parts.
2. **Provide identification (if needed)**: Share your tax ID/unique identification number with us before shipment if your country requires it—this helps avoid clearance delays.
3. **Communicate with the customs broker/logistics provider**: If your package is held by customs, follow the instructions from your designated customs broker, logistics company, or customs clearance agent to submit required documents or pay fees promptly.
Important Note
Justway will assist with providing all necessary shipping documents (e.g., commercial invoice with HS codes) to support customs clearance, but we cannot intervene in customs decisions or cover related costs.
